LladroA Sea of Flowers Privilege Gold
A strong breeze is blowing on the cliff top as a young woman looks out to sea. We see the flower-covered path along which she has come. Her dress is billowing in the wind, and the modeling of the porcelain conveys a realistic feeling of movement. The piece is particularly noteworthy for the number of flowers -over 300- and their many sizes and varieties. All of them are hand-made, petal by petal, and worth underlining is the fact that the stamina is also placed one by one in each flower, even in the smaller ones.
 

LladroFlowers for a Goddess Our Annual 2006 Privilege Piece, is the third and last creation in the Mediterranean Beauty trilogy, started in 2004 with Gardens of Athens and followed by Reflections of Helena. Dressed in a short fitted robe, a young woman inspired by classical Greece is spreading the flowers she has gathered in her dress. It is a traditional offering to the Olympian gods. The classical capital with scrolls at her feet, as if it were the archaeological remains of an ancient temple, reminds us of Greek architecture.
