What is the difference between a Pandora clip, a Pandora spacer, and a Pandora safety chain? We're here to break it down for you, so you always know how to get the most out of your Pandora jewellery.
As we all know, the beauty of Pandora bracelets is that they can be decorated with a wide array of captivating Pandora charms that reflect your personality and interests. But, did you know that you can also upgrade the structure and function of your bracelet itself?
Pandora clips, safety chains and spacers work in different ways on different bracelets, so we urge you to read the information below all the way through before you make your decision, to make sure you get the perfect item for you!
What are Pandora clips?
Before we begin, it is crucial to learn the difference between the different styles of Pandora clip charms. Some Pandora clip charms have an inner silicone lining, and other do not. This affects how the Pandora clip charms sit on your Pandora bracelet or necklace. Now we've cleared that up, lets dive right in!
Shown in the images above, These Pandora clip charms are examples of those without inner silicone linings. These are hinged charms that can be snapped straight onto your Pandora bracelet's nodules; These nodules are the 2 raised sections of your Pandora bracelet, as seen in the image below.

They make great additions to Pandora bracelets because they unite aesthetics with functionality. They’re available in a huge range of beautiful designs, which allows you to add an extra pop of colour, sparkle, and shine just like any other Pandora charm. However, where Pandora clips differ from traditional Pandora charms is that they won’t actually move around your Pandora bracelet: they’ll be fixed in one place, once they're clipped onto the Pandora bracelet nodules. This is fantastic as it allows all of the Pandora charms on your Pandora bracelet stay evenly distributed, giving you the space and freedom to create different areas of unique themes and stories, and keep them neatly separated, exactly where you'd like them!

We recommend wearing 2 of these Pandora clips at once, as this will allow you to create up to 3 new categories in 3 separate segments on your Pandora bracelet, and will stop your Pandora charms from sliding all around your bracelet and gathering heavily in one location.
Now, the images above show some examples of Pandora Clip charms which DO feature an inner silicone lining. These clips are not intended to clip onto your Pandora bracelet's nodules, instead, they snap on to the main chain of the Pandora bracelet itself. Thanks to the silicone inside the clip, they will not slip around on their own, but with a small amount of pressure, they can be moved slowly along the bracelet so the placement can be adjusted a little bit whenever you'd like. They work best on Pandora leather bracelets or Pandora charm bangles, which don't have nodules. If you're thinking about purchasing a Pandora clip charm, but you're not too sure if its the right fitting for your intended Pandora bracelet, you can check the item's product description, or you can ask our customer service team, who will help you with any related query you may have!
What are Pandora spacers?
Pandora spacers, pictured below, are smaller charms that, unlike the clips we've discussed earlier, can move freely along your Pandora bracelet, like a normal charm can. They are intended to act as a partition between your charms, helping to create spaces in colour, theme, and position.
It really is that short and sweet, if you fancy adding a pop of shine either side of your charms to accentuate an existing charm, or if you fancy a dazzling divider to help keep your charm categories organised, Pandora spacers are just what you need!
What are Pandora safety chains?
After you've put time, effort and money into creating your ideal Pandora bracelet, the last thing you want to do is lose it! - A Pandora safety chain is just what you need to keep your precious Pandora charms safe, we really cannot recommend it enough! Whenever you open your Pandora bracelet to remove it or to add a charm, or for any reason, one finger slip is all it takes for your beloved Pandora charms to end up down the bathroom sink, vacuumed up, or ingested by a curious house pet. A Pandora safety chain will help to prevent your jewellery from slipping off your wrist, reducing the risk of you losing the bracelet and all of your charms.
These chains, as shown above, work by attaching to both ends of your bracelet or bangle to hold them together, making it much easier and safer for you to put it on and take it off. Plus, like all of the clips and charms we've looked at today, they come in a diverse range of beautiful designs and colours, so whether you're looking to extend your Disney collection with a Mickey Mouse motif, or you're looking to keep the colour going with some sparkling blue stones, Pandora's safety chains are what you're looking for.
Now, just like the Pandora clip charms, these Pandora safety chains can work in different ways in different bracelets, so it is important to know the difference before you buy yours! Take the Pandora safety chain shown below for example:

This Pandora safety chain shown above fastens just like one of the Pandora clips with an inner silicone lining we looked at earlier, by clipping onto the bracelet's chain, not the nodules. You should place one at either side of the clasp, and with gentle force, you can slowly adjust the positioning of each clip end if required. All of the clip - end safety chains we offer have this inner silicone lining, and so will not clip onto a raised bracelet nodule, but rather the bracelet chain / bangle itself.

The Pandora safety chain shown above works differently, as you can see, the fastening ends are screw - on balls, rather than opening clips. Just like the first clip charms we've talked about, without the silicone inner lining, this chain fits comfortably onto your Pandora bracelet's nodules, and remains sturdily in position, to keep your bracelet and it's charms as safe as possible. Simply open up your bracelet, and screw one ball onto the first nodule, and then once it is securely fastened, screw on the other ball onto the nodule at the opposite side of the clasp.
We've spoken a lot about clips and clasps today, and we've got one last top tip to share with you, to make your life easier. That tip is, simply, clasp openers!

They might be small, but they are not to be underestimated! This handy little apparatus is perfect if intricacy isn't quite your strong suit. Clips and clasps are opened by a small amount of pressure applied to the opening, which is a small area on an already small item, so this clasp opener is there to help you out. Simply hold the tip of the heart-shaped disc against the opening, and gently press in, and "voila!" -With much less pressure and in a much more comfortable and easy hand position, your clip or clasp is opened.
We know you’ll want to get the most out of your Pandora bracelet, and clips, spacers, and safety chains will help you do just that. So, upgrade your existing jewellery by treating yourself to some of these pieces today.
